for cants

hardwood such as beech and oak

Cant material

100 x 100 mm to 650 x 650 mm with a maximum side ratio of 1 to 1.5 allocation width

Cant cross-section

18 pieces mechanical limit performance

Transport performance

A key component is a bandsaw with cant runout. It cuts one-sided boards from cants or squared timber according to the specifications of optimization software, whose results are based on data from a scanner.

Roundwood Grapple

for short wood

1,9 m²

Opening cross-section

max. 3250 mm

Opening width

10 t

Load capacity

The grapple is designed for operation on hydraulic material handlers. The grapple buckets are shaped so that when closed, the roundwood rises, filling the grapple cross-section completely and ensuring a good grip. The grapple includes a rotator and, if desired, an adapter fork adapted to the boom of the excavator.

Heavy-Duty Trailer

for in-house transport

10,00 m

Loading area length

3,20 m

Loading area width

80 t

Payload

The heavy-duty trailer is equipped with two axles and twin tires. It does not have an operational brake but has a hydraulically released, spring-actuated parking brake on the rear axle. Optionally, the heavy-duty trailer is delivered with stakes. The towing vehicle must be suitably equipped and capable of handling the large masses.

Commissioning and Stacking

of BauBuche® and LVL panels

2,0 to 18,0 m

Workpiece length

80 to1800 mm

Workpiece width

30 to300 mm

Workpiece thickness

The system transports panels, lamellas, or lumber to a multi-saw crosscut unit via various transport routes. There, length-specific crosscutting of individual pieces or layers up to 1.80 m wide takes place. The crosscut workpieces can be separated and rearranged to form stackable layers. Additionally, there is a non-automated access option for individual pieces using a crane with a vacuum lifting traverse (not part of the system). The shipping packages can be wrapped and strapped and are then ready for pickup by forklift or crane. All transport elements are designed so that no running marks are left on the workpieces.

Strapping System

600 to1800 mm

Package width

100 to1200 mm

Package height

2,0 to18,0 m

Package length

The strapping system performs all functions electrically. A Cyklop strapping unit for plastic strapping is integrated. Various protective films can be applied and strapped via a pre-installed magazine. A magazine for support timbers automatically pushes them to the strapping position.

Roundwood Crosscutting System

for raw wood

3,0 to22,0 m

Raw lengths

1,0 to14,5 m

Crosscut lengths

100 to600 mm

Log diameter

14 sections/min with average length of 3.5 m

Crosscut performance for long wood

17 sections/min with average length of 2.7 m & average raw length of 4.0 m

Crosscut performance for short wood

The crosscutting system consists of a feed with a transverse conveyor, separation, 3D scanner, 180° horizontal rotation, debarking, pre-crosscut saw, root reducer, multi-saw crosscutting, and subsequent longitudinal sorting. Separate disposal of bark, crosscut pieces, and reducer chips is integrated.

In-/out-storage performance

Number of block levels: 2
Number of levels: 10
Level length: 15 m

Standard level storage

This fully automatic storage concept is designed for intermediate storage of cants in sawn timber production. The coupling of the core components facilitates batch movement between storage areas via the lift shuttle combination, and storing in the level storage. Which makes it possible to maximize utilization of production capacities of pre- and post-cutting systems. The level storage operates without moving parts and electrical components.

Sorting Block Train with hydraulic pushers

for roundwood

200 mm to 1000 mm

Roundwood diameter

7 feet to 11 feet (2,350 - 3,550 mm)

Roundwood length

This conveyor transports and sorts roundwood sections via hydraulic pushers to the subsequent process steps.

Teletwin

for roundwood sectionsy

200 mm to 1000 mm

Roundwood diameter

7 feet to 11 feet (2,350 - 3,550 mm)

Roundwood length

180 mm to700 mm

Model width

180 mm to700 mm

Model thickness

3 models/min without additional board cuts and with sufficient material supply

Performance

Key components are two opposing bandsaws and a clamping and transport carriage for roundwood sections positioned between the saws. The Teletwin produces a model (in this case, a piece of wood with a still strongly rounded rectangular cross-section) from a roundwood section in a forward and backward sawing process. The cutting dimensions are provided by optimization software, whose results are based on data from a scanner. Loading and unloading of the system are carried out via the loading station. Additionally, there is the option to cut boards from the model.

Allocation

for sawn timber

7 feet to 11 feet (2,350 – 3,550 mm)

Allocation length

100 mm to 650 mm

Allocation width

Up to 8/4 inches (50.8 mm)

Allocation height

average 80 cycles/min

Allocation performance

The sawn timber allocation enables gentle separation particularly for sanded sawn timber.

Step Separation

for roundwood sections

1400 – 4100 mm

Wood length

130 – 450 mm

Wood diameter

max. 30 cycles/min mechanical limit performance

Performance

Consists of a step pre-separator and a subsequent step separator. They gradually separate roundwood sections from a stock so that they are individually transferred to the subsequent processing section.

Film Level Sorting

For sawn timber

7 feet to 11 feet(2,350 – 3,550 mm)

Board length

100 mm to 650 mm

Board width

Up to 8/4 inches (50,8 mm)

Board height

120 cycles/min mechanical limit performance

Performance

This system consists of several sorting levels arranged one above the other, into which the sawn timber, classified by dimension and quality, is gently sorted into the respective film level. The insertion of the sawn timber is carried out through the interaction of the ascending sorting conveyor and the level flaps.
